Day 1 (Arrival): Pick-up from Kittilä Airport or Äkäslompolo, check-in, and a welcome meal at your accommodation.
Day 2: A slow morning followed by transfer to meet the husky team — learn how young huskies begin their training, fit harnesses, and share a lakeside BBQ before a short forest snowshoe walk with the dogs. The day ends with a traditional wilderness sauna session (optional lake dip) and a group dinner in Äkäslompolo.
Day 3: A guided walk across a frozen lake with huskies by your side, building trust and handling skills, followed by lunch at a traditional Lappish kota or cafe.
Day 4: A snowshoe loop through forest trails with the huskies, a wilderness cafe snack, then transfer to a local dog kennel for the optional Husky Sledding Tour and light lunch — we only partner with kennels that prioritize dog welfare.
Day 5: A husky walk up to open fjell viewpoints, wilderness cafe lunch, and an optional cross-country ski session (lesson and rental available on request), with a free evening.
Day 6 (Free day): Choose your own pace, with optional extras such as husky sledding, downhill or cross-country skiing on Europe's largest trail network (330km), or simply relaxing by the fire.
Day 7: A free morning followed by a traditional sauna and lake dip, and a final group meal together.
Day 8 (Departure): Breakfast, time for a short walk, and a group transfer to Kittilä or Äkäslompolo.
Full price is €2200, with a €350 deposit to reserve your place. The optional Husky Sledding Tour add-on is €170 per shared sled plus €30 transfer per person.
