As passionate aurora experts, our goal is simle: find the northern lights for you! We do everything possible to make it happen, even if it means driving far or going for some adventures!

This Northern Lights tour is a real aurora  hunting experience! We will depart from Rovaniemi and drive in the most promising directions (based on a long analysis of the weather by your guide and his knowledge of the region). Along the way, we make as many stops as needed to check the sky and enjoy Lapland’s beautiful landscapes.

At some point, we may decide to stop at one promising place and wait a bit longer and take many photos. We will also teach you about the Northern lights, but also about the myths, Arctic nature, local lifestyle... to offer you a complete Lapland experience. The hunt is meant to be both educational and adventurous. 

SMALL-GROUP ONLY: Like all our guided experiences, this Aurora Photography Hunting tour is led by a professional guide in a small groups of maximum 8 participants. We refuse mass tourism and want to offer the best and most authentic experience. Our guides all speak English & French. 

PHOTOS INCLUDED: Your guide is always equipped with a professional low-light camera. This is an essential tool when chasing Northern Lights! It helps anticipate the evolution of the sky and therefore allow us to make the best decisions! And of course, pictures are always nice to keep as a souvenir! All pictures taken during the tour will be sent to you by email in high quality!

BOOKING OPEN ONLY 48H BEFORE : You may book one single night at the very last minute (reservations are open only 48hours before) when conditions are predictable, but this will be only possible if we have availability – which happens very rarely in winter season… We therefore recommend to book the unlimited Aurora Pass which is open long in advance.

SELECT AN UNLIMITED AURORA PASS : Key to observe and enjoy the Northern lights is not about driving hundreds of kilometers on icy roads, and coming back late in the middle of the night, like most companies would try to convince you. The key to enjoy auroras is patience, persistence and perseverance! Try as much as possible, to increase your chance, skip the least promising nights (really, who wants to drive 6 hours in a snowstorm without any safety?) and decide to join the tour whenever forecasts predictions fit your expectations! With our Aurora Pass concept , we offer you the possibility to join as many nights as you would like at a very low price. You receive a fully detailed report in the morning, allowing you to make the decision to join or not the tour – you don’t waste your time and can better enjoy your holidays! If conditions are not good, you get other nights to try! This Aurora Pass is the best value for photography tour in Rovaniemi, offering you the highest chance to observe auroras at the least effort and with the highest safety standards!

Please dress appropriately according to the weather, with warm clothes, good winter boots, gloves, hats and thick socks. You may rent professional winter overalls and winter boots for an extra cost of 5€/set.

This program includes two around 15 minutes driving sessions, break with a hot juice and shuttle transportation from Levi center. 

Everyone over 145 cm is allowed to drive and no previous experience of driving is required. 

The quests are supplied with complete winter-racing gear, including helmets, balaclava, shoes, gloves and overalls.

Price includes a shuttle transfer to the track from Levi Center. The shuttle bus stop is located in front of Kotipizza Levi, (Hissitie 11) across the road from Zero Point. Additionally, we offer private transfer from accommodation with an extra fee.

Have a New Year picnic party with us! We will be far from the city light and enjoy wonderful New Year night sky! We search for Northern Lights, discover the magic of snowy forest and make wishes for the next year! Stay next to inside and outside fireplace with the breathtaking winter lake view. We will have disco outside and you can warm up inside. We offer you sausages, hot drinks, sweets. And you can take alcohol drinks with you. 

A half-day wilderness adventure is the best way to experience the remote and untouched nature of Lapland. During this experience, we will enjoy an easy hike through authentic Arctic nature in a small group, led by a professional guide who specializes in wilderness photography. This experience is especially suitable for families with children and anyone looking for a relaxing and easy hike in the Arctic woodlands of Rovaniemi.

For this tour, we start from Rovaniemi by car, and after a short drive we continue our journey on foot to reach beautiful natural places away from the crowds. Throughout the hike we will have unique and beautiful opportunities for nature and family photos while enjoying Lapland’s unique nature.

As experienced nature photographers, we look for serene nature compositions, hard-to-spot details and capture candid photos of you and the Arctic surroundings. Hike on snow-covered forest trails, marvel at the silence of the Arctic, and enjoy the views on this half-day family adventure. During the day, we stop to build a campfire to enjoy snack and hot drinks – the perfect and authentically local way to spend a winter day outdoors!

All our destinations are carefully chosen to represent a variety of landscapes and idyllic scenery. We choose the most suitable locations for the group’s experience and fitness.  Trekking through snowy forests you also get to experience an intimate connection with nature — just like the early explorers did centuries ago.

We’ll arrive at Fox Cottage at the Happy Fox forest farm by the Ounasjoki river and put on winter clothing. Then we’ll take an invigorating walk to the beautiful winter forest.

During the walk in snowy forest you’ll have an opportunity to get to know the hibernating nature and phenomena of Lapland.

Then we’ll follow the making of a traditional herbal cosmetics and enjoy a refreshing tea drink, which is made of natural herbs and known for its health benefits.

After the walk in the forest, it’s time to let go of any stress in the relaxing heat of the log sauna of Fox Cottage and enjoy an uplifting and caring herbal bath for your feet. Or you choose the herbal pampering treatment for your hands before the sauna. All the herbs used for these treatments are collected from our own forest.

You may also book a relaxing bath in a hot tub on the terrace and admire the charm of the Lappish nature.

After the sauna, we’ll serve you a delicious, traditional Finnish dinner in the cozy lounge of Fox Cottage.
