Your guide meets you for pick-up (within about 10 km of Utsjoki village) or at the storage point, where you're fitted with snowshoes and any extra winter gear you need.
From there you head out into the Sámi cultural landscape on a route chosen to match the group's preferences and fitness level — anything from a quiet winter forest to a route toward the fells.
Over roughly two hours of snowshoeing, your local guide talks about the nature, culture and history of the land as you walk, with a stop along the way for hot drinks and a small snack.
The tour finishes back at the storage point, with drop-off at your accommodation.
