You're picked up from your accommodation in Utsjoki (within about 10 km) and driven roughly an hour to a small, private husky farm on the Norwegian side of the Teno River.
An experienced local musher meets you at the farm and tells you about the huskies, how they're trained, and how to drive a husky sled.
You can then try driving a husky sled yourself on the fields close to the farm — a relaxed, low-key way to experience husky sledding, well suited to families with children or anyone unsure about a longer tour.
Afterwards, you're driven back to your accommodation in Utsjoki.
