Your guide picks you up in Utsjoki or Nuorgam and you set off by minivan toward the Arctic coast at Varanger Fjord.
Along the way you stop at culturally and historically significant sites, including the old Nesseby church, and — during the snow-free season — the ancient living site of Mortensnes.
Continuing along the coast to Vadsø, you visit the interactive exhibition on the history of the Kven people.
The day's last stop is Vestre Jakobselv, where you enjoy a local lunch and a walk along the harbour, taking in the wide fjord scenery.
In the late afternoon you're driven back to your accommodation in Utsjoki or Nuorgam, with an optional stop at a grocery store on the way.
