Join us for an unforgettable small-group adventure from Reykjavík, where Iceland’s most iconic sights meet a truly rare celestial event – the total solar eclipse. Your day begins with a scenic drive to the Golden Circle, starting at Þingvellir National Park. Walk through stunning landscapes, stand between two tectonic plates, and hear fascinating stories about Iceland’s geology and history.
Next, experience the bubbling energy of the Geysir Geothermal Area and watch the Strokkur geyser erupt high into the air. Feel the power of nature up close at Gullfoss, the “Golden Falls,” as water thunders into the canyon below.
After exploring the Golden Circle, head to the dramatic Reykjanes Peninsula. Discover lava fields, steaming vents, and fascinating geological formations, while your guide shares stories about Iceland’s ongoing volcanic activity and natural wonders.
The highlight of the day is the total solar eclipse. Arrive at a carefully chosen viewing site, enjoy a light picnic with snacks, and receive your own eclipse glasses. Watch in awe as daylight fades and totality unfolds – an experience you’ll remember forever. For standard bookings, celebrate with a toast after the eclipse.
Finally, relax on the drive back to Reykjavík, reflecting on a day filled with stunning landscapes, natural wonders, and a once-in-a-lifetime celestial event. Throughout the day, your guide may adjust the itinerary to give you the clearest skies and the best viewing experience possible.
