The day begins with a comfortable 2.5-hour minibus journey from Rovaniemi to Posio and the Riisitunturi summit area, home to some of Lapland's most striking scenery.
From there, you set out on a guided 4.3km hike through Riisitunturi's rolling hills and ancient forests, taking in panoramic views along the way.
Midway through the hike, the group stops at a cozy rest spot to grill sausages over an open fire and warm up with coffee or tea — a true taste of Finnish tradition.
