Meet your guide at the office (Korkalonkatu 36, Rovaniemi) at 09:45, then set off on a short drive of about 30–60 minutes into the wilderness, passing scenic Lappish landscapes and lakes along the way.
Once there, spend 1–2 hours foraging through the forest with a local expert, learning to identify seasonal wild berries such as blueberries, cloudberries and lingonberries, plus mushrooms like golden chanterelles and porcini (mushrooms are typically found from late July onward). Keep an eye out for reindeer as you go.
Afterwards, warm up with a forest break: your guide cooks pancakes over an open fire using the berries you picked, alongside hot drinks and stories about Finnish nature and culture, before the drive back to Rovaniemi.
