Slow down and experience one of Lapland’s most traditional winter past times - ice fishing. This tranquil arctic activity takes place right at our cozy riverside lodge, surrounded by snowy forests and far away from crowds. We will access the fishing spots by snowshoeing, so you get to combine two activities at once!
Your local guide will show you how to drill your own fishing hole, set the bait, and fish like a Finn. No rush, no noise - just the pack of ice and snow between you and the flowing river while you enjoy a hot drink and the freshest air in the world.
Our river is famous for grayling, trout, whitefish, perch, pike and roach. Granted, the fish is never guaranteed but we do have a real chance of catching us a nice natural lunch. Depending on the conditions, we might go to a close by lake instead of the river.
There is always a warm cabin close by, in case some of you start feeling cold while others still wish to continue fishing.
Duration of the tour: approximately 2,5-3 hours
Private activity. Transportation from your hotel included.
