Put on your snowshoes! Join us for a comprehensive educational snowshoeing adventure in the Lapland wilderness, specially tailored for families! As you traverse the quiet, snow-covered forests, your outdoor guide will share essential survival tips for navigating challenging conditions, with age-appropriate instructions and activities for young children. Our specially designed expedition sleigh allows the little ones to take a safe ride while adults venture into the forest on snowshoes!
It will soon be time to set your little camp! Let’s make your own fire (without matches or lighter!) to warm you up. And because one cannot survive without food, you will also drill your own hole in the frozen lake and try ice-fishing! If you catch a fish, your guide will show you how to prepare it and grill it over the fire.
Don’t worry if you are not a confident ice-fisher! A delicious Finnish barbecue snack will be prepared by your guide. This will also offer you a convivial moment around the fire and a great opportunity for your guide to answer all your questions about Lapland!
At the end of the tour, you should already be close to become the next Arctic adventurer of Rovaniemi!

TWO DURATION OPTIONS - 4H00 or 4H30:
1) Our standard option is 4h00 : this option is recommended for families looking for a shorter experience, as this option takes you closer to Rovaniemi, just outside the city with less time of transportation.
2) For families looking for a more remote and immersive Arctic experience, our longer 4h30 option takes you further away from Rovaniemi, into a wilder and quieter part of Lapland. Surrounded by untouched nature, you’ll explore peaceful frozen lakes or snow-covered forests on snowshoes or trekking skis, with the route adapted to your level and preferences.
This unique setting also offers the chance to combine the activity with a private sauna experience or a visit to a snow hotel, both available at a discounted rate for our guests. It’s the perfect option for those wanting a deeper connection with nature, away from the crowds.
