Searching for Northern Lights by Snowmobile

This guided evening snowmobile safari takes you away from the lights of the village and deep into the dark Arctic wilderness, where the sky above is extraordinary whether the aurora appears or not.

Your guide knows the skies, the trails and the stories — the old beliefs and the science behind the aurora — and how to read a clear night in Finnish Lapland. You'll ride out across 20–30 kilometres of winter terrain, then stop in an open spot to watch the sky.

Minimum age 13. Maximum 10 adults. A solo drive upgrade is available.

Note: the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed on any given night. We take you to optimal viewing locations away from light pollution, but nature has the final word — no refund is offered if the lights don't appear.

Required documents

Carry your valid driving license during the snowmobile safari, as police checks may occur.

What to wear

Wear appropriate layers for comfort and safety: warm socks, a long thermal base layer, and a warm mid-layer such as wool or fleece under the thermal gear provided by us.
