Experience Iceland’s most famous natural attractions on a private Golden Circle tour designed for comfort, flexibility, and a more personalized experience. Travel with an experienced driver-guide as you explore some of the country’s most spectacular landscapes and geological wonders at your own pace.
Your journey begins with convenient pickup from Reykjavík or Keflavík International Airport, where you’ll travel in a comfortable private vehicle with free Wi-Fi. From there, head into the Icelandic countryside to discover the highlights of the legendary Golden Circle route.
Visit the historic Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Iceland’s first parliament was founded in 930 AD. Walk through the dramatic rift valley formed by the separation of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates while enjoying breathtaking natural scenery.
Continue to the famous Geysir Geothermal Area, where bubbling hot springs and steaming vents create a unique geothermal landscape. Here you will see Strokkur, which erupts every few minutes, shooting boiling water high into the air.
Next, stop at the magnificent Gullfoss Waterfall, one of Iceland’s most iconic waterfalls. Watch as the powerful glacial river plunges into a deep canyon, often creating beautiful rainbows in the mist.
Your final stop is the colorful Kerið Crater, a volcanic crater lake known for its striking red rock slopes and vivid blue water. Entry to the crater is included so you can walk along the rim and enjoy the unique scenery.
Because Iceland’s weather can change quickly, we recommend wearing warm layers, a waterproof jacket, comfortable walking shoes, and gloves or a hat depending on the season. Dressing in layers will help you stay comfortable while exploring outdoor sites.
After a memorable day exploring Iceland’s natural wonders, relax on the scenic drive back to Reykjavik or Keflavik, completing your private Golden Circle experience.
