This experience is ideal for beginners, families and small groups looking for an authentic Lapland winter activity away from the busiest tourist areas.
Your adventure begins at our office in Levi, where we provide warm winter clothing together with safety instructions and guidance on operating the snowmobile. Our modern snowmobiles are easy and comfortable to drive, even for first-time riders.
We travel through snow-covered forests and across frozen marshlands towards one of our local lakes. Upon arrival, your guide selects a suitable fishing spot and everyone has the opportunity to try drilling a hole in the ice and learning the basics of traditional Finnish ice fishing.
While ice fishing, we enjoy warm drinks, roast sausages over the open fire and relax in the peaceful Arctic winter scenery. If you catch a fish, your guide can prepare it for you to take with you.
After the break, we continue the safari back to Levi by snowmobile.
No previous snowmobiling or ice fishing experience is required.
