Your guide fits you with snowshoes, warm overalls and boots before leading you into the Arctic wilderness surrounding Rovaniemi.
You'll snowshoe through old forests and up hills, pace adapted to your group, scanning the snow for tracks left by wolves, lynx, wolverines, moose, reindeer, weasels and Arctic hares.
Halfway through the tour, your guide lights a campfire using traditional flint and steel and serves refreshments with typical Finnish campfire snacks — a chance to warm up and ask questions about Lapland and Arctic life.
Groups are capped at 8 people, so your guide can tailor the pace and answer your questions throughout the walk.
