Ranua Zoo is approximately one hour south of Rovaniemi by car, and it holds the title of the world's northernmost zoo. Upon arrival, take a relaxed stroll through the grounds to see the interesting animals and birds that call the "top of the world" home.
When you're ready for a break, dine in the cozy on-site restaurant, then browse the shops, including the Fazer candy and chocolate shop and a wine shop selling unique wines made from wild berries found locally, such as cloudberries, lingonberries and bilberries.
