The zoo is about an hour's drive south of Rovaniemi.
Upon arrival, take a stroll through the zoo grounds to see polar bears, brown bears, wolverines, reindeer, lynx, foxes, and other animals and birds that live at the "top of the world".
Along the way, stop for a meal at the cozy on-site restaurant.
Browse the souvenir shops, including the Fazer candy and chocolate shop and the wine shop, which sells wines made from local wild berries such as cloudberries, lingonberries, and bilberries.
