Ranua Wildlife Park, an hour from Rovaniemi, is the northernmost wildlife park in the world — home to around 50 Arctic species and 200 animals, including polar bears, brown bears, wolves, wolverines, lynxes and otters.
A gentle 2.5km walking trail winds through the forest between habitats, with your guide and the park's information boards explaining each animal along the way.
The park is part of European conservation programs for endangered species, and every visit supports its work protecting Arctic wildlife.
