Private Ice Fishing & Riverside Sauna Experience

Step 1. Your expert guide leads you to a charming riverside spot near Rovaniemi, complete with a panoramic-view sauna, and shows you the basics of ice fishing — including how to drill your own hole and the best techniques to catch a fish.

Step 2. Fish for about an hour while enjoying typical Finnish snacks and hot drinks around an open fire; land a decent catch and your guide will even prepare it for you.

Step 3. Unwind in the private, wood-heated sauna your guide has been warming while you fished, soaking in panoramic views and maybe even a sunset.

Eat and hydrate before the activity, and bring extra clothes and drinks for after the sauna.

Swimsuit optional. Finns traditionally sauna nude, but a swimsuit is welcome if you prefer. Adults may bring their own alcohol for sauna time, enjoyed in moderation.
