Private Canoe Trip from Rovaniemi

Your certified canoeing guide meets you and covers paddling technique and safety before you set off in your own canoe.

You'll paddle a quiet river between the islands around Rovaniemi, taking in the arctic scenery and wildlife at a relaxed pace suited to all levels.

Midway through the roughly 3-hour trip, you'll stop on the shore for a snack and a hot drink.

Tours run in the morning, afternoon or evening; the evening option lets you paddle under the midnight sun in summer or watch for the Northern Lights in autumn.

• Starting point: Nordic Odyssey, Jaakonkatu 4-6, Rovaniemi
• Duration: 3 hours
• Difficulty: Very easy
