Start from Rovaniemi city centre on a comfortable, wide-tired fatbike — no fatbiking experience required, just the ability to ride a regular bike.
Follow flat, established trails and bike lanes along the Kemijoki River, passing the Jätkänkynttilä bridge, Rovaniemi's most recognizable landmark.
Continue past Kirkkolampi lake, with an optional ice cream stop when weather allows, and by the Rovaniemi public library designed by architect Alvar Aalto.
Ride on to the shores of the Ounasjoki River and the arctic gardens of the Arktikum museum, with your guide happy to suggest more sights along the way.
Take breaks throughout the ride to photograph the riverside scenery and landscapes.
