After pick-up, you're outfitted with professional winter overalls and boots for temperatures that can drop to -30°C, then driven away from Rovaniemi into the wilderness to begin the hunt.
Your guide checks weather forecasts and solar activity throughout the day to choose the best locations for clear skies, adapting the route — and moving to a new spot if needed — across up to 3 different locations during this 4-hour tour.
Along the way you'll pass snowy forests, powerful rapids, frozen beaches, and ice-covered lakes. Halfway through, your guide builds a campfire using flint & steel, serving hot drinks, grilled sausages, and toasted bread while keeping an eye on the sky.
Bring your own camera if you like (tripods available to rent or buy), and your guide will also shoot photos of you and the Northern Lights on a professional camera — with a download link sent the next day.
Groups are limited to 8 people maximum, suitable for children aged 5 and up, keeping the experience personal and light pollution low.
