Gold Panning Adventure, Private Tour

Upon arrival at the farm, Mama Fox, a geologist, shares the history and legends of Lapland's gold, including its gold rush era.

You'll learn how gold is traditionally prospected using sluice boxes, then try your hand at gold panning yourself.

Any gold you find is yours to keep as a memento of the trip.

While panning, enjoy a traditional Finnish Muurikka crepe with berries and campfire coffee or tea, taking in the scenery of the Ounasjoki.

Guided throughout by a local guide with genuine knowledge of the arctic nature.

What to wear

Dress for the outdoors and check the weather forecast, a rain coat can come in handy, though we provide rainwear (ponchos).
