Your guide takes you into a traditional teepee on the shores of a river outside Rovaniemi. Lit by an open fire, you travel through old stories as your guide shares Finnish culture, traditions and life in the Far North.
Along the way you'll hear about local history, art, literature and memorable anecdotes, with plenty of chances to ask your guide questions about local life.
Your guide also prepares local snacks directly on the fire for you to taste while the stories continue. Tours run in small groups only, to keep the evening personal.
During the Christmas season and school holidays, special afternoon tours designed for children (5 years and up recommended) run with kid-friendly stories. On evening tours, keep an eye on the sky — the Northern Lights sometimes make an appearance overhead.
