A silent, electric snowmobile safari deep into the forest is one of the best ways to experience Lapland's winter nature — gliding through Porovaara, a private wilderness spanning dozens of square kilometres of almost untouched forest.
After the safari, you'll feed and get to know the reindeer with your guide on our own reindeer pasture — their natural habitat, where wild reindeer may also be roaming.
Porovaara sits far enough from Rovaniemi's light pollution for the Northern Lights to appear at their most enchanting, though as a natural phenomenon their visibility can never be guaranteed.
