Join our guided group ride every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to explore the winter landscapes around Rovaniemi. Your guide leads the group to the top of Ounasvaara Hill along scenic snow-covered trails.

This tour suits beginners — if you can ride a regular bike, you're ready. Electric assistance makes the hills easy and the snowy trails a fun, memorable ride.

We start from Hostel Cafe Koti in the city center. Within minutes you're in the quiet, snowy forests of Ounasvaara, riding to the top of the hill and back along scenic forest paths.

Winter temperatures can range from mild to extreme cold, so dress thoughtfully — a bit more than you would for cross-country skiing, but less than for downhill skiing.

• Base layer for warmth (double up in extreme cold)
• Mid-layer, especially for the upper body
• Winter jacket and pants
• Warm gloves
• Winter boots (woolen double socks help in freezing temps)
• Windproof beanie and/or a helmet liner

Note: Avoid long coats, loose pants, or loosely hanging scarves — they can catch in the bike's wheels or chain.
