Early Snow Hiking Adventure Near Rovaniemi

Chase the season's first snow. Whether or not Rovaniemi itself is covered yet, your guide tracks the forecast to find fresh snowshoeing terrain in Lapland's higher or more northern reaches, sometimes up to two hours' drive away.

Small-group snowshoeing. Explore wilderness forests and pristine white landscapes on a 3-6 km hike, learning about the Arctic environment and local life from your guide along the way.

Warm up by the fire. Take a break for snacks around an open fire before continuing your trek off the beaten path, to places no car or ordinary trail can reach.

Beginner-friendly. No experience needed, snowshoeing is easy to pick up in just a few steps, making this a great first Arctic adventure.

Dress for the cold. Wear warm layers, waterproof winter boots, gloves, a hat, and thick socks, it can feel colder than expected out on the open landscape.
