Glide across a peaceful Lapland lake by canoe, then step ashore at an authentic reindeer farm run by herders whose families have worked this land for four hundred years.
Your certified guide teaches you the basics of paddling and steering before you cross the lake to the farm — an easy first crossing that builds confidence for the longer paddle ahead.
At the farm you'll meet semi-wild reindeer up close, feed them their favorite treat (lichen), and learn about traditional reindeer husbandry over hot drinks and cookies.
Back on the water, enjoy a longer, more scenic paddle across the pristine lake before returning to shore. The whole adventure takes about four hours, including an hour at the farm.
Small groups and guidance suited to all paddling levels make this the only canoe trip in Rovaniemi that connects directly to a real, working reindeer farm.
