Your guide's team continuously monitors solar wind activity, live aurora data, satellite cloud maps, and weather models throughout the day to know when and where conditions will be best.
Once conditions look promising, you set off by minivan in a small group, heading for the nearest spot with open sky and a good chance of clear conditions.
If the sky isn't clear, you move on to the next location — sometimes driving 50 km, sometimes over 200 km, even across the border into Sweden, to find clear skies.
Throughout the night, your guide photographs the Northern Lights with you in the picture, using professional cameras built for aurora photography.
You return to Rovaniemi after visiting the best spots of the night, once you've seen the best show on offer.
The tour lasts 4 to 6 hours depending on conditions. If the forecast for your booked night is poor, your reservation is moved to the next available night, and refunded if no suitable night can be found.
