Set out on an easy walk into Lapland's wild forests just outside Rovaniemi, searching for arctic treasures with your guide.
From mid-July to mid-September, hunt for blueberries, cranberries, and other arctic berries hidden in the tundra.
As the air cools (mid-August to early October), the focus shifts to wild mushrooms, learn to identify edible varieties like cepes, and keep an eye out for a prized chaga.
After your walk, relax by an open forest fire and enjoy an omelette made with your own foraged mushrooms, fresh blueberry juice or pine-needle infusions, and a homemade blueberry tart.
This gentle hike is ideal for children too, a relaxed introduction to Arctic nature and foraging.
