Your morning begins with pickup from your accommodation, heading out to Lampivaara hill in Luosto.
Once there, you'll board the famous "pendolino" cable lift to ride up to the top of the hill. After taking in the breathtaking views over the snowy Pyhä-Luosto National Park, your guide will tell you all about this unique amethyst mine — more than 2 billion years old and still worked entirely by hand, without any heavy machinery, to this day.
After the introduction, you'll have the chance to go into the mine and dig until you find your own amethyst. If the stone fits whole inside your closed hand, you can take it home as a souvenir.
After the excursion, you'll be driven back to your accommodation.
