Snowshoeing in Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park

Your snowshoe adventure begins with a roughly 45-minute drive from Levi center to Pallas-Yllastunturi National Park, home to some of Lapland's most scenic wilderness.

Once there, strap into your snowshoes and leave the marked paths behind — with a small group of no more than 8 participants, you're free to explore your own route through the untouched, snow-covered terrain.

After a few hours on the trail, warm up with a light lunch cooked over an open fire in a traditional Kota (Lappish hut), before heading back. The full experience runs approximately 5.5 hours.

Note: bookings for two guests are accepted, but the tour is cancelled if fewer than four participants are registered.

What to wear

• Warm outdoor clothing and thermal base layers
• Sturdy warm boots
• Warm gloves
