Finding a spot
You walk out onto the thick layer of ice and find the best fishing spots for the day — it's common to change spots several times during the session.
Fishing and photography
Your guide teaches you the basics of ice fishing, and you spend a pleasant afternoon fishing and photographing the wide-open lake scenery, which also offers great landscape and wildlife photo opportunities.
Campfire
Along the way, you set up a campfire and enjoy hot drinks and snacks — and if the catch is big enough, you can fry the fish right there.
